What is Virtual Exim? Virtual Exim is a PHP and SQL based approach to hosting multiple email domains using Exim. Exim is used to collect mail for local users, and an SQL backend is used as a data store for users passwords, and other configuration information.	What CAN Virtual Exim do? Virtual Exim provides a web interface for managing your email domains. It can support as many domains as Exim and your SQL database can handle. I'm sure you'll run out of domains before either Exim or your database run out of steam. Virtual Exim provides you with a nice interface to maintain your users and domains. You can delegate domain ownership to the respective owners, who can create and remove user accounts from their domains at will, and also allow their users to update their own passwords and mail preferences. What can Virtual Exim NOT do? Virtual Exim's development started on May 2nd 2003. Since then a small number of casual developers have joined the cause. We expect there is a great deal that people would like to see in this package, ideas which we have not thought of yet. If you want to submit a suggestion, email [email protected] , and I'll do my very best to help you out. Alternatively, join the discussion mailing list mentioned below and we can get input from other Virtual Exim admins.	So, what can Virtual Exim specifically not do? Several things. Anything that we feel Virtual Exim cannot do yet, we add to the Bug Tracking System. We promise that all of these items will get tackled soon.
Where are the mailing lists! We need discussion! There are two mailing lists I have set up, which you can subscribe to: vexim-announce: http://silverwraith.com/mailman/listinfo/vexim-announce Used for sending announcements about Virtual Exim (eg, new releases). This list is moderated. vexim: http://silverwraith.com/mailman/listinfo/vexim Used for general discussion, support, and anything else that might be :-) This is the best list on which to ask for any support you may need.	Enough chit-chat. Where can I get Virtual Exim? Virtual Exim has worked it's way up to version 2.0!
